OVERVIEW
This site is designed to act as a hub for all researchers interested in the evolution, mechanisms, functions and industrial applications of colouration in the natural world. Although started by biologists, this is by no means restricted to biology. We hope this is useful for chemists interested in natural pigments and toxins, physicists interested in nanoscale optics, and potential collaborators from industry with interests in the application of natural colour phenomena to textile and design.
